Option 1: Keypad

Put in your 4 digit code and press 2 for away (leaving the house) or press 3 for stay (staying home)

Option 2: Keyfob

Press and hold the away (outside house) or stay (inside of house) button for 2 seconds to set the alarm. Must be within 75 feet of the keypad.

Option 3: App

Log in to you pulse app on your mobile device. Press the arm button at the top of the app and select away (leaving the house) or stay (staying home).

Typically the system is set for 60 minutes to leave. If more or less time is needed the alarm can be programmed  fit your needs.

When it comes to monitored home security systems, you have a couple choices. You can buy a security system without a landline, or a landline security system. Typically, a security system without a landline uses cellular technology to communicate with the security company’s monitoring center. A landline security system uses your home telephone line to reach the monitoring center.

Whether or not you need a landline for an monitored home security systems depends on which package you choose. When your alarm is activated, the security system alerts the monitoring center by using your home telephone line. Should an alarm be activated while you’re using your home phone, the security system will take over the phone line and call the monitoring center. As soon as the monitoring center is notified, the security system releases the line so that you may speak with the monitoring center professional. Even if your home phone has call waiting, the monitoring center will be notified.

In a power loss, the back-up battery will activate and will operate your alarm system for several hours. In the event your system battery is or becomes low, a low-battery signal will be sent to the security monitoring center. Your system will also show an indication of the low battery by displaying a message (e.g., LOW BATT or BATT) on the keypad or frequently beeping.
